My Philosophy

Whether facing an acute crisis or looking to work through ongoing issues, we all need extra support at different times in our lives. My approach to therapy is multifaceted and addresses symptom relief as well as exploration of underlying patterns that lead to problematic behavior.

Working together, we will use a variety of different techniques in treatment; my belief is that each individual's needs in therapy are unique. Above all, I strive to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment where we can collaborate to improve your quality of life.

About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an undergraduate degree in Human Development from Cornell University and a graduate degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work. My post-master’s education includes a certificate program in Clinical Practice with Adolescents from NYU as well as training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis.

Professionally, I have over 10 years of experience working in various outpatient clinical settings.  I specialize in helping adolescents and young adults cope with struggles and transitions that are unique to this stage of life.

Insurance

I am an "out-of-network" provider, meaning that if your insurance company offers out-of-network benefits, you should receive some reimbursement directly from your insurer.  Most insurance companies that provide out-of-network benefits cover between 50%-80% of the cost per session.  I will provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Important questions to ask your insurance company:

  • Does my insurance plan include mental health coverage?
  • Do I have a deductible for out of network benefits?
  • How much does my plan cover for mental health services provided by an out-of-network provider?
  • Is there a limit to the number of sessions per calendar year covered by my plan?
